The ceremony commenced with the unveiling and blessing of the historic JJ Binns and Johannes Klais pipe organs, meticulously restored to their former glory by the world-renowned Diego Cera Organ Builders. As the sacred instruments were unveiled, a palpable sense of awe filled the air, reflecting the profound reverence for music as a conduit for spiritual expression and divine connection. Now, these sacred sounds will grace the spaces of San Beda College Alabang, enriching worship and inspiring a new generation of musicians devoted to mastering the art of the pipe organ.
Following the solemn blessing, the celebration reached its zenith with a breathtaking Concerto Prelude, featuring an ensemble of esteemed musicians and choirs. Internationally acclaimed concert organist and titular organist of the world-renowned Bamboo Organ, Prof. Armando V. Salarza, took center stage, captivating the audience with his virtuoso performance. Joined by Dom Eugenio Labrague,OSB, Darren Vega, Coro San Benedicto, and Saxum Children’s Chorus, the ensemble delivered a mesmerizing performance that transcended the boundaries of time and space.
