The Research Unit, SBCA Quality Management System, San Beda Alabang Museum and Archives, and Alumni Affairs Office work together to support the institution’s mission. They collaborate on impactful research, ensure high-quality services, preserve cultural heritage, and engage alumni in lifelong development and community involvement, all grounded in the Benedictine values of “Ora et Labora.”
Research, Planning & Development
Coordinate and monitor research activities in the institution
Conduct research dissemination activities for faculty members
Seek services of external research paper reviewers.
Mentor faculty members in the research process
Encourage faculty members to join local and international conferences and training
Secure funding of faculty members scholarly researches
Assist faculty students in statistical data analysis
Showcase exceptional faculty and student research papers
Quality Management System
Prepare the documentation of institutional politics and process
Evaluate operations and determine if the quality standards are being met
Determine the management and stakeholders’ feedback for continuous improvement of processes that will lead to exceptional business performance
Communicate with the management and stakeholders to sustain the drive for successful completion of long term quality goals
Support third-party accreditation and certification in conforming to internationally-recognized standards
Monitor publication for quality assurance
Supervise seminar/training being attended by and being conducted to the employees for professional development
Museum and Archives
Conserve and preserve an evident testimony of SBCA’s appreciation of it’s art, history, culture
Revitalize the Bedan and Benedictine community of the values “Ora et Labora”, as imparted by the Benedictine monks
Serve as a venue that embodies the soul and the identity of the institution
Conduct programs and activities that promote artistic development among the members of the Bedan Community
Lead the dissemination of knowledge about Bedan historical, artistic, and cultural heritage.
Take the lead in the study, development, and preservation of the Bedan’s artistic and cultural heritage, in the reconstruction of its past, and the enhancement of the Bedan wealth
Alumni Affairs
Organize and manage the activities prepared for or by the alumni
Strengthen the involvement of the alumni to enhance institutional programs and activities
Create a means of communication between the association and the alumni for the upcoming activities and other inquiries
Assure reliable information dissemination to the alumni regarding the events and other matters
