MUNTINLUPA CITY, Philippines — San Beda College Alabang celebrated the achievements of the Class of 2026 through two milestone commencement ceremonies, honoring graduates whose perseverance, academic excellence, and unwavering faith have prepared them to make meaningful contributions to society.
The celebrations began on July 5, 2026, with the Baccalaureate Mass
and 16th Commencement Exercises of the School of Law, recognizing graduates who successfully completed one of the most demanding academic journeys in pursuit of the legal profession.
Serving as Commencement Speaker was The Honorable Samuel H. Gaerlan, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. In his address, Justice Gaerlan reminded the graduates that becoming a lawyer is not merely a personal achievement but a lifelong responsibility. He emphasized that every Bedan lawyer carries not only the title of the profession but also the honor and values of San Beda College Alabang into every courtroom and every community they serve. He challenged the graduates to uphold justice with integrity, humility, and fidelity to the highest ethical standards, bringing honor to their alma mater through lives of principled service.
The following day, July 6, 2026, the College held the 28th Commencement Exercises of the Tertiary Schools and Graduate Education, celebrating another milestone for graduates from its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The ceremony featured Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as Commencement Speaker. She reminded the graduates that while San Beda College Alabang has prepared them to excel in their respective professions, it has also formed them to become men and women of character. Emphasizing that the true value of a degree is measured not by the title it confers but by the lives it enables its holder to transform, she encouraged the Class of 2026 to use their education with integrity, compassion, and a deep commitment to serving their communities and the nation.
Together, the two commencement ceremonies reflected San Beda College Alabang’s enduring mission of forming graduates who excel not only in knowledge and professional competence but also in character and service. Rooted in the Benedictine tradition, the College continues to nurture individuals who embody the values of faith, community, stewardship, and excellence.
As they leave their alma mater, the members of the Class of 2026 carry with them the enduring Bedan ideal of Ora et Labora—Prayer and Work—ready to lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
San Beda College Alabang extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2026 and prays that they continue to live lives of excellence, faithful service, and compassionate leadership wherever their journeys may lead.
