San Beda College Alabang came alive with faith, culture, and Bedan spirit as the community celebrated the annual Sto. Niño Festival from January 15 to 17, 2026 — a cherished tradition that continues to deepen devotion while strengthening community bonds.
For three vibrant days, the campus pulsed with energy as students from various levels showcased not only talent and creativity but also their shared faith. The celebration featured crowd-favorite events such as the Sinulog Dance Competition, where rhythmic movements and colorful performances paid tribute through dance. The Batch Cheering Competition brought waves of school pride, teamwork, and unity, while the Grade School Field Demonstrations delighted the audience with lively choreographies and joyful enthusiasm.
Exhibition drills highlighted discipline and coordination, while the fun and food fair created spaces for fellowship, laughter, and shared memories among students, faculty, staff, and families. The tertiary department added glamour and confidence to the festivities through the Mr. and Ms. San Beda event, celebrating personality, poise, and Bedan excellence.
Yet beyond the cheers, music, and performances, the heart of the celebration remained rooted in faith.
The festival’s most meaningful moments unfolded during the grand procession and Solemn High Mass, which served as the spiritual summit of the three-day event. The Bedan community gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, honoring the Child Jesus who symbolizes humility, trust, and joyful surrender to God.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Abbot-President Dom Ignasi M. Fossas, OSB of the Subiaco-Cassinese Congregation, with the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat, Manila concelebrating. In his homily, Fr. Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB, Rector, reminded the community that devotion to the Sto. Niño is more than tradition — it is a call to childlike faith, gratitude, and joyful trust in God’s providence.
United in worship, the Bedan faithful offered prayers of praise and thanksgiving, entrusting the entire celebration, the school community, and the year ahead into God’s loving care. The Mass provided a reverent and grace-filled conclusion, grounding the festival’s excitement in its true spiritual purpose.
The Sto. Niño Festival at San Beda College Alabang remains a beautiful expression of how faith and culture meet in community life. It is a reminder that while Bedans excel in talent, creativity, and school spirit, everything finds its meaning when rooted in devotion.
Indeed, the celebration reflected what it truly means to be Bedan: joyful in spirit, united in community, and firm in faith!
