SBCA marks Dr. Jose Rizal’s 164th birth anniversary with floral tribute and community reflection.
San Beda College Alabang came together on June 18, 2025, to honor the 164th birthday of Dr. Jose Rizal—a day that reminded the Bedan community of the timeless values of truth, education, and patriotism.
Held at the Batang Rizal Monument, the event featured a wreath-laying ceremony, meaningful tributes, and a powerful musical performance that brought the memory of the national hero to life.
Leading the ceremony was Fr. Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB, joined by Hon. Stephanie Teves, Vice Mayor-elect of Muntinlupa City, who shared words of encouragement and civic pride. The event was organized through the efforts of Dr. Kathleen Tiglao (Institutional Advancement) and Dr. Joseph Renta III (Museum and Archives), with support from students, faculty, and staff.
A moving highlight: the performance by Mr. Gelo Diamos, CFPA Choral Conductor, whose music echoed Rizal’s ideals of hope and courage.
More than a commemoration, the gathering served as a reminder: Rizal’s legacy is not just history—it’s a challenge to live with purpose.
