San Beda College Alabang proudly announces the re-election of The Reverend Father Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB as Rector, following the decision made by the Board of Trustees during a special meeting held on April 28, 2025. His renewed term, officially affirmed with the consent of Abbot-Chancellor The Right Reverend Father Austin P. Cadiz, OSB, will commence on May 1, 2025, and run until April 30, 2028.
This marks another milestone in Fr. Gerard’s longstanding service to San Beda College Alabang. Known for his deeply rooted Benedictine values, Fr. Gerard has exemplified strong and compassionate leadership, steering the institution through periods of growth in both its spiritual and academic life. His re-election is a testament to the trust and confidence bestowed upon him by the institution’s governing body and community.
From his early years as a dedicated monk of the Order of Saint Benedict to his steady rise through the academic and administrative ranks, Fr. Gerard has always demonstrated a profound commitment to holistic education grounded in prayer, work, and community life. Under his leadership, the institution has strengthened its programs, expanded its reach, and deepened its mission to form individuals rooted in faith and service.
