San Beda College Alabang’s School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) enters the new academic year energized by recent strides in international collaboration, student engagement, and academic innovation—setting a strong foundation for continued growth and impact.
Among its key developments is the International Studies program’s expanding global reach through a new partnership with Thammasat University in Thailand. This international linkage promises broader opportunities for intercultural learning and academic exchange, with platforms such as the SBCA Model United Nations already welcoming participation from international institutions. Student organizations like the Bedan International Studies Association (BISA) also continue to lead timely forums that encourage critical thinking and global awareness.
The Communication and Media Studies (CMS) department is poised to enhance student learning further through upgraded facilities and creative platforms. Initiatives like Tunog Bedista, a student-produced podcast, and campus-based disaster awareness campaigns reflect CMS’s commitment to blending technical skills with civic engagement.
The Psychology Department sustains its commitment to academic excellence and community outreach, with students demonstrating strong board exam performance and active involvement in mental health initiatives. The Bedan Psychological Society (BPS) enters the new year with heightened visibility, fueled by recent accomplishments that showcased their drive for wellness advocacy and community connection.
Student organizations continue to serve as pillars of collaboration and creativity. Beda.Comm remains active in institutional promotions, while the Bedan Educators’ Society (BEdS) is building pathways for future partnerships in education. These groups reflect the vibrant, inclusive culture that defines SASE’s student life.
As the academic year begins, SASE looks ahead with renewed focus on program development, enrollment expansion, and further integration of real-world learning experiences. Strengthened by the momentum of recent initiatives, the School remains dedicated to forming competent, compassionate learners ready to face the challenges of an ever-evolving world.
