Aclan) On January 10, 2025, the Manny Reyes Hall at the Our Lady of Montserrat Building was transformed into a haven of nostalgia and joy as alumni, faculty, and students gathered for the Blessing Ceremony of Musical Instruments and the Mission & Vision Wall Unveiling with the High School Batch of 1985.
Harmony in Giving
In a remarkable display of gratitude and commitment to their alma mater, High School Batch 1985 embarked on an inspiring journey through their Balik Bene Project. At the heart of this initiative is a generous donation of musical instruments—including an upright piano, a cello, several Bachendorff violins, Yamaha classical guitars, a Yamaha trumpet with case, and a drum set—to the Center for Performing Arts (CFPA).
As music plays a vital role in education, creativity, and personal development, the instruments gifted by HS Batch 1985 will surely resonate through the corridors of San Beda College Alabang for years to come.
One of the event’s highlights was the Blessing of the Musical Instruments, underscoring the importance of the arts in education and community life. Fr. Gerard offered prayers over an array of instruments acquired through the donations and contributions of the High School Batch of 1985, who were eager to give back to their alma mater.
During the ceremony, the alumni were honored with the Awarding of the Commemorative Plaque—a gesture recognizing their invaluable contributions to the school over the years. This plaque is not merely a decorative piece; it symbolizes the legacy Batch 1985 has built and the enduring love and commitment they continue to show toward their alma mater.
The Vision and Mission Wall Unveiling
The musical donation was just the first wave of contributions under the overarching Balik Bene Project. HS Batch 1985’s support extended far beyond the realm of music. Another major initiative was the creation of the Mission and Vision Wall, featuring the school logo and the inscription “Ora et Labora,” installed at Christ the King. This tribute is designed to inspire students and foster a sense of purpose within the Bedan community.
The wall stands as a beacon of the school’s guiding principles, encapsulating the values and aspirations that shape the educational journey of its students. Its design reflects a commitment to excellence and the nurturing of holistic development—echoing the institution’s rich history rooted in tradition while looking ahead to the future.

The Celebration of Legacy event was more than just a ceremonial occasion—it was a heartfelt reminder of the values that bind the Bedan community together. It honored the past while nurturing a spirit of continuity that encourages alumni and current students to carry forward the torch of excellence, community, and service.
