Aclan) February 23, 2026 – The 7th Bedan Legacy Connect (BLC) Alumni Lecture Series delivered an afternoon filled with creativity and inspiration, as Janos Dela Cruz, an esteemed visual storyteller and High School Batch 2002 alumnus, led an engaging session titled “Art in Focus: The Continuing Journey of a Visual Storyteller.” The event took place in the Museum Lobby, drawing an enthusiastic audience of Tertiary School students from BSIT-3A, BSBA-MM-2B, and BSIE-1A.
Dela Cruz, who has made significant contributions to the world of visual arts, shared his artistic journey, emphasizing various techniques and media that resonate with both emerging and seasoned artists. His presentation was not just about showcasing his work; it was an invitation for students to delve deeper into their own creative processes.
“The creative journey is ongoing, and I believe everyone has a unique story to tell,” Dela Cruz expressed during the lecture. He encouraged students to embrace their individual perspectives, reminding them that art is a personal expression that evolves with time.
The event was designed not only to facilitate learning but also to encourage interaction. Students participated in an open dialogue with Dela Cruz, asking questions and sharing their experiences in art and creativity. As a result, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as they exchanged ideas.
In addition to nurturing engagement, the BLC lecture aimed to strengthen networking among current students and alumni. Dela Cruz’s success story served as a motivational beacon, highlighting the potential that lies within the Bedan community.
As the event ended, participants left with a reinvigorated passion for the arts, accompanied by the phrase, “Mindset of a layman, hands of a craftsman, and heart of an artist.”
