(By Engr. Dominador G. Zaragosa, Jr.) The Educational Technology Services – Learning Management System (ETS–LMS) Team of San Beda College Alabang participated in the 6th International Congress on e-Learning (ICE 2025) hosted by Silliman University in Dumaguete City in September 2025. The event, organized by the Philippine eLearning Society (PeLS), brought together teachers, school leaders, and education technology experts from various schools and universities to share new ideas on online learning. The SBCA team was composed of Engr. Ma. Lea A. Martinez, ETS Administrator; Engr. Dominador G. Zaragosa, Jr., LMS Coordinator; and Ms. Joan V. Teoxon, ETS–LMS Team Member.
This year’s theme, “eLearning Futurescapes: Navigating Innovation, Equity, and Sustainability in Education,” focused on how educational institutions can use technology to create better, fairer, and more sustainable ways of teaching and learning. ICE 2025 featured talks and presentations on the use of artificial intelligence in education, promoting digital inclusion, and ensuring that e-learning remains effective and environmentally sustainable.
During the two-day event, the SBCA representatives attended various sessions and workshops that introduced innovative educational technologies and effective approaches to online instruction. The team explored topics such as integrating data and artificial intelligence in teaching, creating inclusive virtual learning environments, and promoting wellness in digital education. Insights gained from these discussions will guide the team in enhancing San Beda’s digital learning systems, strengthening support for faculty, and sustaining meaningful online learning experiences for students.
The team’s participation in ICE 2025 reflects San Beda College Alabang’s commitment to continuously improving its approach to technology-enhanced education. Engaging with educators and experts from various institutions allowed the ETS–LMS Team to gain fresh perspectives and insights that can contribute to the development of more effective digital learning initiatives. Through opportunities like this, the team continues to support the Bedan community in adapting to the evolving landscape of education while upholding the institution’s values of service, innovation, and excellence.
