San Beda College Alabang once again came alive with vibrant faith and Bedan spirit as the community celebrated the Pista ng Sto. Niño 2026 from January 15 to 17, bringing together students, faculty, administrators, and staff in a joyful three-day celebration honoring the Child Jesus.
A cherished tradition at San Beda, the Sto. Niño Festival highlights the community’s enduring devotion to the Santo Niño while showcasing the creativity, energy, and unity of Bedans through a variety of cultural and festive activities.
The campus was filled with excitement as students participated in the much-anticipated Sinulog Dance Competition, where performers presented dynamic interpretations of the traditional Sinulog dance in honor of the Sto. Niño. The competition featured colorful costumes, synchronized choreography, and powerful rhythms that reflected both cultural heritage and youthful enthusiasm.
Bedan pride was also on full display during the Batch Cheering Competition, as students rallied together with spirited chants, coordinated movements, and vibrant displays of teamwork. Meanwhile, the Grade School Field Demonstration delighted the community with lively dance performances, highlighting the talent and creativity of the younger Bedans.
Adding to the festive atmosphere were exhibition drills, as well as the Fun and Food Fair, which provided a lively venue for the community to gather, enjoy various food offerings, and share moments of fellowship. The tertiary department also held the much-awaited Mr. and Ms. San Beda, celebrating confidence, personality, and Bedan pride among its student participants.
While the festivities filled the campus with energy and celebration, the heart of the festival remained rooted in faith and devotion.
The celebration culminated in a grand procession and Solemn High Mass in honor of the Sto. Niño. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Dom Ignasi M. Fossas, OSB, Abbot-President of the Subiaco-Cassinese Congregation, as the main celebrant, together with the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat, Manila, who concelebrated the Mass.
In his homily, Fr. Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB, Rector of San Beda College Alabang, reflected on the enduring significance of the Sto. Niño devotion and encouraged the Bedan community to renew their trust in God and continue living out their faith with joy and humility.
Gathered in prayer, the Bedan community offered praise and thanksgiving as they entrusted the institution and its mission to God. The solemn liturgy served as the spiritual highlight of the celebration, bringing the festivities to a meaningful and prayerful close.
More than a vibrant campus celebration, the Sto. Niño Festival remains a powerful reminder of the faith that unites the Bedan community—bringing together faith, culture, and community in honoring the Child Jesus who continues to inspire hope and devotion among generations of Bedans.
