BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA STUDIES
This program equips students with the skills to effectively use communication across various platforms, including print, broadcast, electronic media, advertising, public relations, communication research, and media management.
It explores the dynamics of human communication and its significant impact on fostering national and global understanding. The program analyzes media content, addresses rapid advancements in communication, and provides a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical, innovative training. International Studies fosters an interdisciplinary understanding of global processes and issues, focusing on politics, economics, and socio-cultural dynamics. With an emphasis on the relationships between and among state and non-state actors, the program prepares students to address the complex challenges of the 21st century. These programs are designed to provide a solid training on the scientific study of human behaviors and mental processes through different dimensions, perspectives, concepts and theories. They are geared towards providing students with competent skills and knowledge in human behavior through research and practical training.
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology program combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of psychological principles, research methods, and their relevance to individual and societal well-being. Students are trained in research design, data analysis, and critical thinking to evaluate psychological theories and apply them to real-world scenarios. They are also expected to acquire practical skills such as such as communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions, essential for working with diverse populations. Graduates of the program are prepared for a wide range of careers in mental health services, education, people management, counseling, social work and research.
The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology program focuses on the biological and physical sciences, offering a specialized and science-oriented curriculum. BACHELOR OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a term encompassing children from birth through eight years of age (birth – Grade 3). ECE provides programs that are suitable and developmentally appropriate to help the child develop his/her maximum potential. Students, taking up Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, are trained to efficiently work with young children grounded with theories and pedagogical approaches in child development. Thus, this program prepares the learners to become formators of preschool and grade school pupils. Students in this program are expected to develop a solid foundation on developmentally appropriate practices in effective early childhood care and education. BACHELOR OF SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION
This degree program enables its graduates to teach subjects in general/ regular education setting while addressing learning concerns of students with additional or special needs. Graduate of this program may also teach in special education centers and clinical settings.
Furthermore, this program takes into consideration the various laws and international agreements especially the Convention on the Right of Persons with Disabilities on quality education for persons with special educational needs, making Filipino mainstream education inclusive and accessible to all. BACHELOR OF SECONDARY EDUCATION
The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) is a four-year degree program designed to train students to become high school teachers. It focuses on three areas of specialization: Mathematics, English and General Science. The BSED curriculum contains Professional Education subjects divided into four major categories: Theory and Principles in Education, Methods and Strategies subjects, Field Study subjects and Elective subjects. The BSEd degree program aims to develop highly motivated and competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education.

The School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) at San Beda College Alabang has established a strong reputation for academic excellence, industry recognition, and global engagement. Through outstanding programs and student achievements, SASE continues to uphold the mission of the institution while shaping future leaders.
- The Communication and Media Studies (CMS) program has made its mark internationally, earning recognition as one of the top 10 finalists in the JCS International Young Creative Awards, an Emmy-affiliated competition in New York. The program also founded Tatak Bedista TV, an online News and Public Affairs platform, which received an award from the Philippine Association of Communication Educators for its outstanding coverage of the 2023 BAR Examinations. Additionally, CMS students have gained recognition in academic research, with a thesis selected among the top four papers at the National Communication Research Conference from over 200 submissions.
- The International Studies (IS) program has positioned itself on the global stage, hosting three Model United Nations (MUN) Assemblies, with participants from Thailand, Japan, and Korea. Since 2008, IS students have represented SBCA in international MUN events hosted by institutions like Harvard University, Nanyang Technological University, and Peking University, winning multiple awards, including Best Delegate, Best Position Paper, and Best Delegation.
- The Psychology (BAP/BSP) program continues to excel, consistently surpassing the national passing rate in the Psychometrician Licensure Examination and achieving a 100% passing rate for graduates taking the Certified Human Resource Professional exams.
- The Teacher Education program has an unbroken record of success, with every graduate passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) since its inception.
