In this 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Gospel highlights the Jews’ struggle to understand Jesus’ claim of coming down from heaven. Jesus explains that only those chosen by God will recognize Him as the one sent by the Father. He emphasizes His unity with the Father and assures us that those who believe in Him will have eternal life. Jesus, as the bread of life, offers us His flesh for the life of the world—a gift we receive in the Eucharist.
Do we truly believe that receiving Jesus in the Eucharist leads us to eternal life?
