REFLECTIONS ON THE WORD đź“–

Mk 10, 35-43
In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus shares a powerful lesson on leadership and sacrifice. The disciples, still expecting a triumphant Messiah to restore Israel’s glory, struggle to understand that Jesus’ path leads through suffering and death. When James and John ask for places of honor beside him, they reveal their misunderstanding of what true greatness in God’s kingdom means.
Jesus takes this moment to teach them—and us—that real leadership isn’t about power or status but about serving others with humility. ✨ He reminds them that those who lead in his kingdom must be like servants, putting others first. ❤️ “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” 🙏
In God’s eyes, greatness is found in service, not in seeking personal gain. Let us follow Jesus’ example and lead with love and selflessness! 🌟
