Today’s gospel reminds us of the dangers of excessive self-love and materialism, which can cloud our spiritual vision.
Jesus warns, “It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Our focus on personal satisfaction can overshadow our love for God and our duty to care for others.
Let us ask ourselves: Are we willing to set aside selfish concerns to help our brothers and sisters in need?
Let’s prioritize divine love over material gain.
