On this final Sunday of Advent, we reflect on the meeting of Mary and Elizabeth. When Mary greets Elizabeth, her child, John, leaps for joy in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, exclaims:
“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”

In this beautiful moment, Mary receives what she needed most: to be blessed, accepted, and loved. God’s blessings remind us of our true purpose—to be loved and to love, to be forgiven and to forgive.

We are blessed to be a blessing. God created us to share His love and grace with the world. As we prepare for Christmas, let us reflect on how we can share God’s blessings with others. How will you be a blessing to someone this week?
Rejoice, for the Lord is near!
