The San Beda College Alabang School of Law proudly announces its very first inaugural academic convocation for its 20 faculty members who will receive their Masters of Law from San Beda University on December 7, 2022.
The School of Law faculty members who have dedicated their time, talents, and resources to pursuing greater studies in the name of their profession and a better community are the recipients of the St. Thomas More’s Unprofitable Servant Award. This prize will be given to thirty-two (32) faculty members in total.
An Honoris Causa degree will also be granted to Honorable Associate Justice Ramon Paul Hernando, a Bedan lawyer, to recognize the impact he has had on the legal system of the Philippines.
There is no finer thing one can accomplish with their life than to dedicate it to serving others, as it is wholly believed by the San Beda College Alabang School of Law community. Both students and teachers in this community are always eager to assist one another.
To build and complete this project, many outstanding, bright, and creative brains from all backgrounds were required, so it took more than a village. It was the vision of Dean Ulpiano – together with that of Vice Dean Carlo Busmente, Prefect Eliza Yamamoto-Santos, and Administrative Officer Roben “Jun” Cadugo – kept this project alive and the team did its best to make their vision come to life.
The team is spearheaded by none other than Ms. Kate Capulong, who is also the Head Chairperson of the Central Bar Operations of the School of Law. She personally curated her own team comprising of fifteen (15) students, namely: Patricia Dela Rosa, Christine Torres, Eloisa Buño, Paolo Pascual, Paty Boncayao, Adrian Macasaquit, Louie Someros, Reed Lopez, Femme Armamento, Hannah Morales, Anna Obeso, Joses Tan, Mikhaela Mayuga, Gabriel Pallasigue, Mae Lisaca, and with the special participation of the Council of Organizations. The project was a collaborative effort between these students and the school administration – Ms. Louise Leuterio, Ms. Nona Guiam, Ms. Rachelle Matienzo, and most especially Atty. Jun Cadugo who greatly guided and helped the team plan even if he himself was also an awardee of the very same event.
In line with this, the attendance of the entire student body is MANDATORILY REQUIRED via ZOOM along with limited numbers of students who are handpicked to attend onsite.
Together, let us all witness the graduation ceremony of our great professors and convey our gratitude and appreciation to these people who have inspired the San Beda community.
