Bringing the Message of Hope in the Time of Pandemic

The Center for Campus Ministry (CCM) carried on with its mission of reaching out to the Bedan community amid the COVID-19 pandemic. They utilized modern means of social communication to continue bringing spiritual nourishment, uniting stakeholders in prayer, and promoting Catholic Benedictine values.

CCM kicked off with a celebration for the Solemnity of Saint Benedict of Nursia, streamed through the school’s official Facebook page on July 11, 2020. A novena preceded the celebration wherein the Benedictine monks, campus ministers, and Dr. Andres Ignacio C. San Mateo, Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, gave their reflections on the Benedictine Hallmarks. At the same time, the Ministry came up with means to meaningfully and prayerfully observe the 125th Anniversary of the Arrival of the Benedictine Monks to the Philippines. Through the help of Benedictine monks, who gave their reflections for the novena before the Solemnity of Our Lady of Montserrat on September 12, 2020, the observance was a success.
