Batang Rizal Monument at San Beda Alabang:The Batang Rizal Monument features a 3-foot brass sculpture of Rizal as a young boy. It captures the poignant moment when young Rizal lost a slipper to the river and chose to throw the other one in. He holds a book inscribed with “Sa Aking Mga Kabata” (“To My Fellow Youth”), a poem believed to have been written by Rizal in his youth. An “asong pinoy” (aspin) accompanies young Pepe in this evocative scene.
